Sunderland wall is an indoor sport and bouldering wall at Pallion Quays near Sunderland.
The main wall offers 32 lines up to 23m in height (the highest in the UK), with climbs ranging in difficulty from F3 to F8a (HVD to 6c).
Some club members go there on Wednesday afternoons (not an official meeting check Newcastle Climbing Centre for our official meeting place. But it’s still worth a visit!) The wall is a short walk downhill from Pallion Metro Station. Usually you need a 3-zone ticket to get there from Newcastle, but you can save money on Wednesday afternoons and Sundays with a DaySaver ticket.
The wall is open until 10pm during the week and 8pm on weekends. Entry prices vary, and are discounted on Wednesday afternoons and Sundays.
